The AI4YouthWork project consortium is pleased to announce the publication of its Digital Catalogue of e-learning resources on artificial intelligence, designed to help youth workers integrate AI knowledge and practices into their daily work.

The Catalogue features 48 interactive micro-modules, available in English, Italian, Greek, Portuguese, and Romanian, and fully aligned with the project’s AI Competence Framework.

Over 100 professionals from several European countries participated in piloting the Catalogue. Feedback confirmed that the resources are:

  • Relevant to the daily realities of youth work;

  • tailored to the contexts and needs of the sector;

  • clear, up-to-date, and practical, bridging theory with responsible AI applications;

  • contextualised through case studies and examples that support adoption across diverse cultural and national settings.

The majority of participants expressed their intent to apply their new knowledge and recommend the Catalogue to peers, underlining the urgency of equipping the youth sector with digital skills and critical AI literacy.

The full analysis of pilot results is available in the report at https://zenodo.org/records/16205384

The Digital Catalogue: Who It’s For and How to Use It

The Catalogue is designed for both individual youth workers and training organisations. Its micro-modules cover a wide range of topics, including:

  • The technical basics of AI;
  • The role of AI in youth work;
  • Digital literacy and ethical dilemmas;
  • Good practices for the responsible use of AI tools.

All resources are immediately usable and can be easily integrated into non-formal learning pathways.

Youth workers can register and access the Catalogue here: https://app.ai4youthwork.eu/login

Next Steps for the Consortium

The consortium is now working on finalising an AI Training Toolkit for youth workers, which will include:

  • a comparative mapping of free AI tools assessed against ethical criteria;

  • 15 workshop plans based on non-formal education, complete with reusable materials and practical guidelines.

The Toolkit is in its final development phase and will be released soon to further support practitioners in designing impactful learning experiences for young people.

Empowering Youth Work with AI

The AI4YouthWork project is a Cooperation Partnership in the Youthf ield co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme and designed to enhance the AI competencies of youth workers across Europe. The consortium includes Lascò (Italy), TEAM4Excellence (Romania), CONTEXTOS (Portugal)and KEAN (Greece). Over the course of 24 months, the project aims to provide youth workers with the tools and knowledge they need to incorporate AI into their everyday practice, ultimately improving the quality and reach of youth work.
