Young People and AI: skills, tools and opportunities to empower their future
- 23 January 2026 14:00
On 21 January 2026, our consortium leader, Lascò, successfully implemented the final conference of the project at the “Ettore Majorana” Institute, a distinguished educational establishment located in Santa Maria a Vico, within the province of Caserta, Italy.
The conference served as the final dissemination event for the project, bringing together young people, youth workers and other educational professionals. The agenda included presentations of the project's key results, a review of the activities undertaken, and a forward-looking discussion on the long-term impact and sustainability of the project's outcomes. The choice of the "Ettore Majorana" Institute as the venue underscored the project's commitment to engaging with the local educational community and ensuring the results are integrated into practical educational settings. The event facilitated a rich exchange of ideas and celebrated the successful achievement of the project's objectives.
Lascò’s team had the opportunity to share the approaches, tools and results developed by the project consortium in the past two years. Particularly, during the day, some of the main outputs of the project were presented, including the research and framework on youth workers' competence needs, our Digital Catalogue of eLearning Experiences on AI, and the AI Training Toolkit, designed to provide practical support for educational and youth work, promoting the critical, ethical and informed use of artificial intelligence.
A key moment of the meeting was the AI Skills Lab, a space that allowed participants to explore in a practical way how AI can be integrated into educational and work contexts with young people, strengthening digital skills, critical thinking and technological awareness.
The event is part of the final phase of the AI4YouthWork project, which is coming to an end, and contributes to consolidating the dialogue between research, educational practice and digital innovation, and transferring the project knowledge to other stakeholders.
